Up to last year , Lizeth was always so great to me and my family . However after my son died in 2020 it was tough I had trusted her last year to do my taxes after that tough moment she failed my family and I . Even tho it was a very small tax return her and her son never filed . After saying it was filed and I would receive it . Mind you I live in Alaska . This women has done my taxes for about a decade or more . Now I am having to deal with the IRS and I have never once did my taxes all these year this women has done my taxes . I knew something was off when I called and called no answer , emails and text she never replied . I was a dancer for 11 years made tons of money . However I switched my life career and I felt since it was not a large return she put it to the side and allowed her son to assist me . So here I am with no answers in 2024 my taxes are messed up . Yet again I have sent email to Lizeth and I have called .

This is sad I have to contact you through a review I have emailed you I have called you I have proof of all calls and text . You mentioned the fee was being taking out of my taxes ? So pay ! ? I’m confused again if you contacted your tax clients to communicate girl .

* please take the time to read all of Liz’s responses. She cannot take responsibility for her poor business practices. Gaslight much? Also, this whole relationship has been like a bad marriage that ended in a nasty divorce. I’m still getting letters about taxes not being filed from 2020 on Liz’s behalf. Both business & personal. I hate to write this review but here goes. Let me start by saying that Liz is a wonderful person and can be a really great tax person. She did help me a ton in the beginning. But this tax season I lost all of my trust in her. Not only did she completely miss not 1 but 2 of my appointments that I made, but I am now getting late notices for payments she was supposed to guide me on. I’m a 1 person business and needed help with payroll and other operations for my business. All of which Liz promised to help with. It’s obvious I need to find another tax person but I have never felt more disrespected for my time or business. I don’t know what is going on but I didn’t feel my time was valuable to her and this type of business should really be taken more seriously. I had to drive down to her office and ask her son to file my return that I paid for because I couldn’t get Liz on the phone or to show for my appointments.

I have been trusting Lizeth with my yearly taxes for 9 years and would NEVER go anywhere else. She is knowledgeable, efficient and always follows up with any questions I have. If you want your taxes done correctly, don't use TurboTax...go to Lizeth!!!

Update to 1 star PLEASE pay close attention to all RECENT reviews as they are low.

A very unfortunate, UNPROFESSIONAL and completely childish response to a review. I think it's important that people be honest about their experiences so that patrons can make good, informed choices, and a GOOD business takes notes and tries to improve after receiving constructive criticism, instead of responding with emotional untrue attacks.

My review was COMPLETELY HONEST and fair but unfortunately Lizeth can not ever seem to take ANY responsibility or accountability, as you will see a PATTERN of this in her reviews. Always on the defensive and never an apology or attempt to rectify or improve... a red flag in itself.

There was ZERO follow through on Lizeth's part with the job she was paid in advance to do, despite phone calls and voicemail left I NEVER received a response until the one below today (My appt was 2/23...no response/communication until 4/10). A coworker had the SAME experience about a week later, called and the main phone number was actually disconnected for awhile!? We tried to give the benefit of the doubt, but obviously this is this business' standard practice.

I have NEVER had such a an unprofessional experience with a small business. SAVE your money and just use an online tax service, OR if you need actual help, find a reputable company with someone who treats her clients with respect and is able to follow through on the services paid for and not make excuses.

I am in my 40's and have always done my taxes myself but a coworker recommended Lizeth, so I decided to try it out. Lizeth was, nice, informative and seemed to know her stuff. At the end of the appt she got the exact same amount of refund as I had gotten when I ran my own numbers, and I did catch that she had spelled my last name wrong (an honest mistake), but overall convinced myself that the appt was worth it with some of the other information she passed along. She told me I would receive an email the following day, and that the refund would be in 7-10 business days, and I left thinking I would give a good review!...

10 days later it occurred to me that I had never received the email... I went to the IRS website to check the status of my refund and it showed that my taxes had NOT even been filed yet!? I was genuinely surprised.

I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt since it is busy season... but I started reading the reviews which made me nervous...
called twice, left one voicemail and didnt get an answer.
Then considered that if she mis-entered my name from the W-2 there MIGHT been have an error in my routing/banking information or any other part, so I decided to just bite the bullet and spend the extra money to submit the one I had already completed prior to my appt.

Sorry to say, but in hindsight I wish I had just paid the $40 for my online tax prep like I usually do as this cost me a lot of additional money and delayed my refund...

I went to Liz for 10+ years and I hate to write this review but she has wreaked havoc on my two businesses and my personal taxes! She filed all of my returns late (we are talking 18 months). I am stuck paying all of the fines because of her mistake. She also disregarded the notice from the IRS I brought in every year saying that they received my tax return but I was not an S-Corp. (Something she told me she filed and NEVER DID) I spent thousands of dollars and countless hours trying to sort this out to avoid massive fines and additional taxes. I really hope she can get it together because I have always had so much love for her but I would not recommend ANYONE use this business. Hire a reputable CPA. 🙁

Like some others here, my parents just received notice that their 2019 tax returns were never filed, despite being customers of Liz’s for nearly a decade.

She won’t return phone calls, their documents are nowhere to be found, and now they’re facing fines from the IRS.

If anyone else has been scammed by Liz, contact me.

Liz claims our financials are not lost, yet she has dodged phone calls, emails, text messages and wasn’t in her office the multitudes of times we’ve stopped by to try to get our documents.

Liz, you’re lying and you’ve been called out. We aren’t the only people facing IRS backlash due to your negligence.

Every year I get the worst anxiety doing our taxes but not this year! Finding Lizeth was the best thing ever. Not only is she amazing at doing taxes and knows her stuff but she seriously has a heart of gold. So thankful we found her!!!

The best service you can ask for, Lizeth did a great job on our taxes. She took care of a lot of issues, made things look too easy and followed up on everything for months after. She is very friendly and experienced, Brenda also took care of our company licensing and helped a lot with follow up questions .... highly recommended!
