My Honest Review of Northern Arc Capital Limited

I took a small loan from Northern Arc Capital for an upskilling course, essentially a short-term education loan, with a 12-month EMI plan. However, I decided to pre-close the loan within 3 months. After I received my No Dues Certificate confirming the loan was closed, I began to experience serious issues.

To my surprise, I started receiving multiple legal notices from their lawyer, which was extremely unsettling. The root of the problem was an unauthorized NACH e-mandate set for ₹10,874—double my usual EMI—after the loan had already been closed. This payment bounced, as I was aware that no further payments were due. Despite this, Northern Arc sent me a notice through the Lok Adalat of the Bombay City Civil Session Court. When I asked about it, they told me to ignore it but failed to provide any clear explanation as to why it was sent in the first place.

Just as I thought the situation was over, I received another legal notice from a court in Kolkata, informing me that a case had been filed against me for ₹10,874. I was shocked and confused. After checking the E-court services, I confirmed that there was indeed a case filed against me. This seemed like a scam since I had a No Dues Certificate and the loan had already been settled.

I contacted my college, which had facilitated the loan, and they looped me into an email conversation with Northern Arc’s legal team. I demanded that they drop the case immediately, but they never responded. A few days later, I noticed that the case was withdrawn, but I never received any official statement explaining why this had happened in the first place.

In short, my experience with Northern Arc Capital was unnecessarily stressful and filled with legal complications after the loan was already closed. I strongly advise against taking a loan from them. If you’re considering a loan, I recommend going through a government bank to avoid the kind of situation I went through.

This corporation is the most fake corporation. They will scam you by giving wrong documents first and secondly they will say your loan is closed and after 2 months you will receive their messages to pay.

Their backend team is getting paid for sleeping. Their customer services is just a formality. And all the people in this firm have no idea what’s going on.

Complete mess! And scam!
